*PLEASE READ*

In accordance with government and ECB guidelines, the Executive Committee of Audley cricket club would like to make the following announcement.

First and foremost we would like to welcome you back to Audley cricket club for the start of the 2021 season. Here at Audley cricket club, we have the safety of our members at the forefront of our minds.

We would therefore like to invite MEMBERS ONLY (subscription for the 2021 season has been paid) to return to use the cricket club facilities under the current pubs, clubs and venues, outdoor hospitality rules. Rule of six or two family groups. Track and trace systems will be in operation.

All member patrons wishing to use our facilities will need to be seated in our outdoor serving area and adhere to the table service provided by the cricket club bar staff. Where possible we would ask patrons to pay with a contactless method, but we will still be accepting cash sales. We would appreciate it if patrons are patient with bar staff when waiting for their orders as this is a new way of working for them as well.

Patrons will only be allowed to move indoors to use toilet and baby change facilities.

When not seated all patrons must wear a face covering at all times.

There will be a limited amount of outdoor space available. When using this space, patrons are asked to remain seated during the duration of their stay, limit their movement where possible and remain in their bubbles. If all this space is occupied then members are respectfully asked to return when space has become available to use.

There has been much discussion over the ECB guidelines regarding spectators. In line with this Audley Cricket Club will not actively encourage the spectating of organised cricket at this time. Be that games or for practice.

Junior Practice

We have made the decision to ask parents of our junior members to operate a drop-off and pick up service with their children as far as is reasonably practicable.

We appreciate that for younger players and those travelling a distance to attend practice this may not be possible. Therefore, under the safeguarding exceptions, we ask that if you need to remain with your child during the period of practice you remain in your cars and that all under 18s have left the club grounds NO longer than 15 minutes after junior practice has finished.

If you are chaperoning a player under 18 we respectfully ask you to adhere to a 1 PARENT 1 CHILD process, as seen in other grassroots sports, at this time.

All of these guidelines are under constant review by the committee and we encourage the self-policing of MEMBERS at this time.

Audley cricket club reserve the right to refuse entry or service if we feel that patrons are not acting safely for the benefit of themselves or others using the club at this time.

Audley cricket club would like to thank our member patrons, players and player parents for their patience at this time, and though many of you may feel frustrated by some of these measures put in place, as a committee we fully understand and feel the same way. Please remember we are doing this for the safety and benefit of all who wish to be part of this cricket club.
