Audley Cricket Club was very sad to hear of the passing of club stalwart Nigel Pointon. Nigel was an Honorary Life Member of the club, awarded as recognition of his dedicated service in managing the bar stock for so many years and his prolific fundraising efforts. He was still up until his last Sunday morning, a member of the inner sanctum, who often wrestled with the issues of the day, the plight of English cricket, and the state of Audley's first team.
Nigel will be fondly remembered by all that knew him.
The club is also saddened by the passing of Brenda Broadhurst, wife of life-long supporter Phillip and mother of former player David, which will be acknowledged at the next Exec meeting. As well as past member Paul Peake whose son Kieran Peake came through the ranks.
