Audley Cricket Club were extremely proud to welcome England superstars Emma Lamb & Jonny Bairstow to the clubs senior training session on Tuesday 16th July.

The players attended to promote Laithwaites Wine being the official Wine Partner of the ECB.

The event was extremely well attended by not only the senior team players with Emma and Jonny joining in with the training session, but also the clubs Womens softball team trained with Emma, and there were junior training sessions being run by the ACC volunteer junior coaches. After the training had finished, all club members/ players/ junior players/ parents were able to meet both Emma and Jonny, having photos, signing cricket bats, shirts, hats, etc. Amazing food (as usual) was provided on the night by the clubs resident chef Sean.

The Daily Telegraph & Stoke-on-Trent's own Sentinel newspaper attended the event, and the Cricket District Youtube team were also in attendance recording footage of the training session.

It was a fantastic event with all the representatives from the ECB, Laithwaite Wines, Daily Telegraph, Cricket District and both Emma & Jonny all hugely praising the set up at Audley Cricket Club, the fact that it is all run by volunteers (which they found incredible), and that a club like Audley CC, where junior & grassroots cricket happens, is vital to the future of cricket in England.
